You could say he’s "been there, done that and got the t-shirt." But he didn't get a t-shirt. He got a polo shirt.
And it wasn’t about the shirt. It was about what was embroidered over the left breast of the shirt — “FP Master Tech.”
You see, only five people in the nation wear that shirt. Our field service engineer and FP Mailing Equipment technician, Glenn Nelms, is one of those five.
After two years of hard work, a handful of trips to mailing manufacturer FP Mailing Solution’s US headquarters near Chicago and 200 hours of hands-on training with tests with their whole product line, Glenn Nelms graduated FP Mailing Solutions’ Master Tech program to become one of only five FP Master Techs in the nation — and the only FP Master Tech in Oklahoma.
A few weeks ago, representatives of FP Mailing Solutions visited R.K. Black headquarters in Oklahoma City, congratulating Glenn and awarding him with the Master Tech designation. They gave him a plaque and, you guessed it, the aforementioned polo shirt.
FP’s newsletter, speaking of Glenn and his achievement, said Glenn is known for his dedication to support and customer service.
“Glenn has shown a very strong skill level and his dedication to service is a great benefit to both RK Black and by extension to FP as well.”
