Dispatcher

R.K. Black, Inc., an Oklahoma City-based office technology company providing solutions to businesses throughout Oklahoma, Kansas & Missouri, is seeking a dispatcher to serve in the Oklahoma City metro area.

This role serves as a vital communications link between our clients and our field team.

The Job

  • Front-line Client Service Representative … answers incoming calls in a friendly and professional manner from clients placing service calls or toner orders, represents RK Black with an “I’m here to help” positive attitude
  • Gathers information, creates service tickets and supply orders using industry software
  • Follows established procedures to prioritize service requests and assign appropriate technician
  • Resolves common software and hardware issues for copy/print/scan devices
  • Invoices billable service calls, enters closed call information
  • Ensures service calls are handled promptly & effectively, escalating priority calls appropriately  
  • Responds to all communication from clients, co-workers and managers in a timely manner
  • Enjoys providing excellent client service and helping build a positive, fun work environment

Education & Work Requirements

  • College Degree preferred; high school degree required
  • Some technical training/education a plus 
  • Call center experience is a plus
  • Minimum two years’ client service experience using dispatch software; four years preferred


Physical Requirements

  • Can communicate clearly in verbal and written English    
  • Able to stand, move freely, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Able to use hands to operate a phone, computer, copier, filing system, etc.
  • Well groomed, neat, clean professional appearance

Miscellaneous

  • 8 to 5 Monday through Friday – in office (not eligible for remote work)

Wage: Commensurate with experience
